For one, it is the most efficient process. Papers can be easily lost and damaged, and counting on a physical piece of paper for your entire dental history is risky. Another reason we do this is for your convenience. If you move or switch practices, we want to make the transition to your new dental care provider as seamless as possible. With just a few clicks of a button, all of your information can be sent to any practice that you request. Likewise, if you are a new patient, we can easily access any of your available digital dental records so that we can better understand and treat your dental history and needs.

Paperless filing is also beneficial for your privacy. While papers can be easily lost and picked up by the wrong people, digital filing can only be accessed by licensed medical professionals that have a reason to understand your care.
